Half-Life® 2: Episode Two is the second in a trilogy of new games created by Valve that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life® adventure. As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions.

After escaping City 17 with Alyx Vance, Gordon Freeman must cross the White Forest to deliver information taken from the Citadel to the Resistance. Combine forces and unfamiliar creatures stand in the way.
The single-player first-person adventure combines shooting and exploration across wooded roads, abandoned sites, and underground passages. You fight enemies with an expanding arsenal, drive a vehicle through parts of the journey, and solve physics-based puzzles.
The journey includes encounters that call for different tactics, from combat in confined areas to defending positions and using throwable explosives against large enemies. New weapons, vehicles, and creatures add to the series’ established gameplay.
Players often praise the episode’s continuing story, its character moments with Alyx, and the way combat, driving, exploration, and set-piece encounters vary across the journey. Forest environments and level design are recurring highlights. Many reviews also criticize the unresolved cliffhanger; some find the final defense repetitive or achievements tedious.
