A Knight's Fury - The Vaults of Venom

From the Devs

Inspiration:
A Knight's Fury is a classic first-person dungeon crawler inspired by the old-school RPGs and dungeon adventures of the 80s and 90s. It is built for players who miss the feeling of stepping into a dark hallway, opening a door, finding treasure, and not knowing what waits around the next corner.

The goal is to capture that nostalgic sense of danger and discovery, but in a faster, more replayable form. No massive party to manage. No endless grind. No hundred-hour commitment. Just you, your gear, your choices, and the dungeon ahead.

It is inspired by classic first-person adventures like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, Might and Magic, Wizardry, and other old-school dungeon crawlers where every step forward felt like a decision.

Core Design Choices:

• Classic first-person dungeon crawling with old-school movement and exploration.

• Solo adventuring instead of party management.

• Fast, readable combat focused on timing, positioning, and survival.

• Replayable dungeon runs with loot, upgrades, danger, and discovery.

• A nostalgic fantasy tone: monsters, treasure, secrets, traps, and strange places below the surface.

• Shorter play sessions with meaningful progress and no unnecessary grind.

Mechanics:
The game is built around fast dungeon exploration and direct first-person combat. You descend into dangerous halls, fight monsters face to face, gather loot, improve your character, and push deeper into the unknown.

The design keeps the spirit of classic dungeon crawlers while cutting away the slower parts. Movement is immediate, combat is quick, and every run gives you new chances to find better gear, learn enemy patterns, and discover what lies deeper in the dungeon.

Instead of managing a full party, you play as a lone adventurer. Every choice matters more. Every potion, weapon, upgrade, and mistake belongs to you.

World and Story line:
An ancient evil has awakened, spreading its shadow across the land. A maiden has been kidnapped and carried far beyond the safety of the kingdom, into a realm of monsters, forgotten magic, and deadly wilderness.

Your quest will take you through several dangerous regions, each with its own perils: ruined halls, haunted forests, burning caverns, frozen passages, and other strange places touched by darkness. Every area brings new enemies, hidden treasures, and secrets waiting to be uncovered.

You are not leading an army of heroes. You are not commanding a party of chosen champions. You are one adventurer on a desperate quest, armed with whatever you can carry and whatever courage you have left.

Each journey is a new attempt to push farther, grow stronger, defeat the evil that threatens the realm, and rescue the kidnapped maiden before all hope is lost.
