Four Last Things is a very silly pythonesque adventure made from Renaissance-era paintings and public domain recordings of classical music. It is about sin, and the Four Last Things – Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell – and strives to be intelligent and ridiculous in equal measures.

You play as a wanderer seeking forgiveness for past sins. When a priest says only sins committed in his parish can be absolved there, you set out to commit the seven deadly sins again.
Explore a small village, talk with its inhabitants, and find ways to create sinful situations. Progress comes from solving point-and-click puzzles by combining observations, dialogue, and items.
The game uses a verb-based interaction menu and a simple inventory where you can drag items to use them. Its world is assembled from Renaissance paintings, accompanied by classical music, with surreal comedy woven through the conversations and scenes.
Players frequently enjoy the unusual world built from Renaissance artwork, the classical music, and the irreverent, absurdist comedy. Many also find the item-based puzzles fun within the short adventure. Some reviewers find the humor hit-or-miss, and others report getting stuck on puzzles without enough hints; the brief runtime is a welcome bite-sized feature for some and a drawback for others.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God saw all that he had made, and it was good. Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the gift of life, and the man became living.
'Ooops,' said God, seeing he had created a fool. But before he was able to remedy his error, man spoke;
'No backsies!' he chirped, and scuttled off into the forest.

It's kind of like if Monkey Island had been made in 16th century Flanders, by a time-travelling Monty Python fanboy...

Pointing and Clicking – A traditional point and click interface, with a 'verb coin' interaction menu and a simple inventory from which you can drag and drop your preciously hoarded items.
Renaissance Artwork – Paintings by Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, Jan van Eych and many many more are brought together into one consistent world, in a way that is also as sympathetic as possible to the original works.
Classical Music – a soundtrack selected to fit with the style of the artwork. Music from classical composers such as Bach, Erik Satie, and Claudio Monteverdi will accompany you on your journey.
Sinful Behaviour – Although ungodly, sinning has become the new norm in your life. Travel the streets looking for devilish opportunities in the hopes of confessing each and every sin for salvation.
Nonsense – A style of humour reminiscent of the surreal, anarchic comedy of Monty Python. Lofty subject matter is treated with refreshing flippancy and gags about butts are taken VERY seriously. But rest assured, while some of the jokes may be ridiculous, the puzzles make perfect sense! (or at least adhere to a consistent internal logic)
Moments of Surprising Profundity – Actually, no... Don't read too much into it.
