Set in a pirate-era Caribbean, you play a captain sailing through a large world of islands and ports. A story-driven campaign provides a path through the setting, while exploration and other encounters offer activities beyond the main story.
Sail into battles against pirates, merchants, convoys, and other vessels, choosing ammunition and tactics to damage or capture ships. You can command multiple vessels, take on fortifications, and play in PvP or PvE multiplayer modes.
Build up your operation by trading, earning money, upgrading ships, and developing bases. Captain levels and skills, ship improvements, and standing with five nations provide additional progression as you expand your fleet.
