Battlestations: Midway is an immense action game that drops players into massive air, sea, and undersea battles from Pearl Harbor to the Battle of Midway.
Developed by Eidos Interactive · Published by Square Enix

Set across the Pacific theater of World War II, the campaign follows battles from Pearl Harbor toward Midway. You take part as both a fleet commander and the operator of individual combat vehicles.
Issue orders to ships and squadrons from a tactical view, then switch instantly to directly pilot a plane, command a submarine, or man a ship's guns. Each role gives you a different way to contribute to an engagement.
Battles unfold across the air, surface, and underwater fronts at once, with fleet positioning and individual units both affecting the fight. The game includes more than 60 vehicles, 11 campaigns, and 12 bonus challenge missions.
Players who enjoy the game often single out its mix of tactical fleet orders and direct control of planes, ships, and submarines, as well as the scale and variety of its battles. Some appreciate the campaign and its nostalgic appeal, and a few say the visuals still hold up. Reviews also report frustration with controls, AI targeting, and learning how to play.
