Crash Wheels is a single-player arcade racer in which you drive through short courses alongside computer-controlled cars. The goal is to reach the finish, not necessarily to take first place.
You navigate obstacles and rival cars while collisions and hard landings damage your vehicle. Damage can slow the car or make it harder to control, so the challenge is finishing even when your vehicle is battered.
The game has 32 tracks and a crash test level. Progress comes from completing the tracks, with some stages calling for retries when their obstacles or collisions prove difficult.
Players who enjoy Crash Wheels often praise its chaotic collisions and damage, finding fun in trying to make it to the finish with a battered car. Some also like that its short, casual stages make it easy to dip into, and mention the plentiful achievements. Other reviewers find the tracks too brief or simple, and criticize the rival cars' behavior and the volume of achievement pop-ups.
