Starship Theory

You take charge of four survivors stranded in unknown space and build a starship to keep them alive. Plan the ship's layout and expand it with upgrades and facilities as your crew and needs grow.

Gather supplies by mining asteroids, salvaging wrecks, and trading with neutral ships. Research technology and decide how to deal with other vessels, including threatening or bribing opponents.

Train crew in skills such as engineering and combat, and manage their food, rest, and wellbeing. Maintain oxygen and ship components, respond to fires and damage, and handle combat by targeting enemy systems while managing heat and environmental hazards.

Player opinions are mixed. Those who enjoy the game often describe an absorbing survival loop built around mining, ship expansion, and managing resources and crew; some also enjoy the challenge of learning through repeated attempts. Many reviewers, however, say the lack of a tutorial makes the basics difficult to understand, and some cite bugs or the game's stalled development as reasons for disappointment.
