You create your own ninja in the Naruto and Boruto setting, choosing a character appearance and building a fighting style from abilities associated with characters in the series.
The game centers on online team battles, with four players on each side competing in modes involving combat, capturing flags or bases, and defending objectives. You can also take on PvE missions alone or with other players, including tasks to protect targets, defeat enemies, and fight bosses.
Choose among Attack, Ranged, Defense, and Healer roles, each with different abilities and team functions. Training under mentors unlocks techniques and gear, while missions and matches let you develop your ninja and experiment with different builds.
Players who enjoy the game often praise creating a custom ninja and experimenting with builds that combine different characters’ abilities. Reviews also highlight fast movement and combat, teamwork, and the appeal of playing in the Naruto setting, especially with friends. Recurring criticisms include paid content and random reward systems, uneven or cheating-filled PvP, online connection and matchmaking problems, and repetitive missions.
