Field of Glory II is a turn-based tactical game set during the Rise of Rome from 280 BC to 25 BC.
Developed by Byzantine Games · Published by Slitherine Ltd.

Set during the rise of Rome, Field of Glory II puts you in command of armies from Rome, Carthage and other ancient powers. Lead them in historical engagements or imagined clashes between historically grounded forces.
Battles unfold turn by turn on tiled maps. Position infantry, cavalry and other units to exploit terrain, formations and flanking opportunities; morale and named generals also affect how forces fight.
Play historical scenarios, campaigns or custom battles on generated maps. Campaign victories improve the experience and elan of core units, while an editor and single-player and multiplayer modes offer other ways to arrange battles.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its deliberate tactical battles, tabletop-wargame feel and ancient army variety. Reviews point to positioning, flanking, terrain and morale as rewarding systems, and some appreciate the historical scenarios and custom-battle options. Other players find the battles slow, the learning curve demanding or the presentation plain.
