You command a squad of Desert Rangers sent from Arizona to Colorado to secure aid from the Patriarch. His offer draws the Rangers into a conflict involving his children and the region’s competing factions.
Explore Colorado, take on missions, and deal with its inhabitants through dialogue, skills, or combat. Battles use turn-based tactics, with positioning, cover, abilities, and squad coordination shaping how you approach a fight.
Create and develop a squad of up to six Rangers by choosing attributes, skills, perks, and equipment. Recruit companions, establish a base, and upgrade a battle truck for travel and combat. Decisions can affect Colorado’s factions, inhabitants, and story.
Players who enjoyed the game often highlight its writing, dark humor, unusual post-apocalyptic setting, and difficult choices, alongside tactical turn-based combat and flexible squad builds. Music and atmosphere also earn praise. However, many supplied reviews report bugs that can stall encounters or disrupt saves, which some players say overshadowed the experience.
