Shantae, a half-genie guardian, sets out to stop a crime wave threatening Sequin Land. The adventure pairs a lighthearted story and colorful cast with side-scrolling action.
Fight enemies with Shantae’s hair-whip attack and use belly-dance transformations to gain creature abilities for combat and traversal. Relics unlock powers and let you customize moves.
Stages are selected separately, with new abilities opening routes and secrets in places you have already visited. The Ultimate Edition also includes additional campaigns and modes, including adventures as Risky Boots and Shantae’s friends, plus costume-based variations.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its animated, colorful art, memorable music, creature transformations, and playful tone.
