You are a ship’s captain in Apollo, a distant cluster of star systems. Make a living through trade, passenger and cargo jobs, bounty contracts, or other work, while encountering characters and short stories rather than following one required main storyline.
Travel between populated and uncharted systems, docking at stations and deciding which opportunities to pursue. Contracts come from many employers, and your reputation with each affects the work available; events and opportunities can depend on time as well as location.
Customize your ship’s components for shipping, combat, or stealth, and manage its systems as you travel. Encounters emphasize submarine-like stealth: run quietly, plan maneuvers, and avoid detection or engage in combat. You can also search for derelicts and wreckage, or play sandbox and scenario modes.
In these reviews, players who enjoy the game often value its unusual submarine-like approach to space travel, immersive ship operation, and freedom to trade, take contracts, or pursue other roles. Some also praise its atmosphere and stories. These positive impressions appear alongside frequent complaints in the sample about the game feeling unfinished or buggy.
