You take the role of an elite space pilot facing a powerful threat from another dimension. The campaign sends you through missions across space as you fight to protect the galaxy.
Fly through side-scrolling levels, shoot waves of enemies, and take on large bosses. Enemies and parts of the environment can be destroyed, while rockets, bombs, and defensive equipment add options to combat.
Between missions, spend earnings on weapons and ship equipment, then adjust your loadout to suit your approach. Weapon modifiers and special devices can change how equipment works; after completing the campaign, you can replay at higher difficulty. Local co-op is also available.
