Play alone or with others as armed operatives investigating the Foundation’s turn against humanity. At Area-12, UIU agents are trapped in a lockdown as the facility pursues weaponized anomalous hybrids; another campaign follows GOC operatives investigating a remote Antarctic outpost.
Move through research and containment sites, fight human forces and anomalous creatures, and complete mission objectives. Combat includes peeking around corners, vaulting and breaching doors, with customizable weapons. Search for clues and resources, and inspect documents and audio logs on a tablet.
Choose which discoveries are worth reporting over the radio to your team’s command center. Alongside campaign missions, the game includes wave-survival modes, PvP, weapons testing and training chambers.
In this helpfulness-selected sample, players often enjoy the weighty-feeling gunplay, weapon customization, and tense atmosphere of exploring SCP facilities, with co-op sessions frequently singled out as especially engaging. Some also appreciate the environments and the way anomalies connect to the setting. Criticism commonly focuses on bugs and performance, unclear directions, uneven enemy behavior and solo difficulty; players also disagree about the project’s pace and state of development.
The SCP Foundation has gone dark. Disturbing intel from one of the many Foundation sites, Area-12, an underground biological research and containment facility in West Virginia, has been forwarded to an anomalous branch of the FBI, the Unusual Incidents Unit (UIU).
Upon arrival the UIU are ambushed and trapped within Area-12 by a facility wide lock-down, leaving you alone and without backup. For reasons yet unclear, Area-12 has adopted a new agenda: creating weaponized hybrids of anomalous creatures. Now the UIU must get to the bottom of “why” and stop them before these monstrosities are unleashed on innocent civilians.

Anomalies are reality-defying objects, artifacts and creatures that inhabit the cracks in our world. These anomalies are what the SCP Foundation was supposed to contain; and their anomalous nature makes them dangerous to the likes of you.
