We Love It's Guide to…

Life is Strange: True Colors

Alex Chen arrives in Haven Springs to reconnect with her brother Gabe, but after his death in a supposed accident, she sets out to uncover what happened. Alex has a supernatural empathy that lets her see other people’s strong emotions as colored auras and sometimes absorb them. Explore the town’s streets, shops, and other spaces, inspect objects, and talk with residents. Alex’s ability can reveal what people are feeling and help her understand or respond to their struggles. The game also includes occasional environmental puzzles and a chapter built around a live-action role-playing game. Dialogue choices shape conversations and relationships as Alex forms friendships and can pursue a romance with Ryan or Steph. Decisions lead to variations in how characters respond and in the story’s outcomes, while the central mystery follows a set narrative path.

As Alex Chen investigates her brother’s death in Haven Springs, she explores town, makes choices, and reads others’ emotions.
