You venture through a dark, circular dungeon where enemies, loot, and exits appear as cards around a ring. Each turn, choose how to move, whether to fight or slip past a threat, and when to take a risk for a reward.
Enemies signal their actions, making positioning and timing important. Scavenge equipment, manage your stats and inventory, and combine items with passive effects to shape a build. Mimics offer gear for a price, while souls gathered during a run can help you acquire items.
Dungeons and item offerings vary between runs, with branching paths, special detours, and multiple regions to explore. Unlock additional difficulty settings and a daily dungeon with modifiers; short, cryptic rhyming passages provide glimpses of the world’s lore.
Players often enjoy the ring-shaped dungeon’s compact, consequential choices, where a simple move can involve weighing danger against loot. Reviews also praise experimenting with equipment synergies and builds, as well as the eerie visual style and brief, replayable runs. Some players find the randomness and difficulty frustrating, and others feel the experience has limited variety after several runs.
