You play as the Outlander, tasked by the Shepherd of Wayward Souls with hunting the remaining Guardians of the Old World. The campaign spans three hubs and 15 maps set among ancient crypts, sunken ruins, corrupted temples, and forests.
Fight monsters in a fast-paced first-person shooter, using a varied arsenal and melee weapons while moving through sprawling, interconnected levels. Search for hidden paths, shortcuts, and secrets as you make your way through each area.
Ten artifacts provide temporary powers to use in combat and exploration. Progress through the hubs toward their Guardians, while managing health, ammunition, and saves: shrines act as checkpoints, and Soul Tethers allow saves between them. An option enables unlimited saves.
