Enter Paradise as Johnny Turbo—half-metal, half-human, all-murder machine. Clean up the streets with a chainsaw leg, 15+ weapons and your hovercar as you battle the rogue AI Syn, rival bounty hunters and cyberpunks aplenty. Apogee’s most outrageous FPS since Duke Nukem 3D. Good hunting, Sir!

You play as Johnny Turbo, an augmented mercenary returning to the city of Paradise, where a rogue AI called Syn has taken control of the population. Johnny sets out to stop Syn while facing its minions and rival bounty hunters.
Fight through enemy-filled stages using a large arsenal of weapons and movement abilities. Dash, wall-run, grapple and slide on Johnny’s chainsaw leg; some weapons have alternate fire, and Turbo Time slows the action.
The campaign spans three episodes, with secrets, collectibles, bonus arenas and combat challenges along the way. Earn cash and find upgrades for weapons and cybernetic abilities, unlock talents, and collect modifiers that can change the rules of play.
Players often praise the fast movement and combat, especially the chainsaw-leg slide, varied weapons and upgrade options. The cyberpunk presentation and soundtrack also earn praise. Reactions are more divided on the campaign’s length and later stages: some enjoy the escalating challenges, while others find the levels repetitive or the late bosses and difficulty frustrating. A number of reviewers also report audio-mixing or navigation issues.
