After an accident, four college students and their teacher are stranded in the abandoned town of Little Hope. As they search for a way out, apparitions and visions connect their ordeal to the town’s past, including its 17th-century witch trials.
Explore streets, buildings, and other locations, inspect objects and clues, and make dialogue choices as the group encounters threats. During dangerous scenes, respond to quick-time events to help characters get through the moment.
Decisions shape relationships and the course of events, with characters able to survive or die and multiple endings available. Play alone or in co-op; after completing the main story, the Curator’s Cut offers scenes from other characters’ perspectives and additional choices.
Players who enjoy Little Hope often highlight its oppressive foggy atmosphere, cinematic horror presentation, and the mystery that invites them to connect clues and rethink earlier scenes. Some also appreciate playing through the story in co-op and exploring different outcomes on repeat runs. Reactions to the story’s resolution are sharply divided, while confusing plotting, slow stretches, and doubts about how much choices matter recur among criticisms.
