Explore Frozen Tau Volantis
Journey across space to the icy planet of Tau Volantis with Isaac Clarke and Sgt. John Carver to discover and destroy the source of the Necromorph outbreak.
Developed by Visceral Games · Published by Electronic Arts

Isaac Clarke and Sgt. John Carver travel to the icy planet Tau Volantis to investigate the source of the Necromorph outbreak. The campaign can be played solo or in online co-op, with a second player joining as Carver.
Explore space stations, abandoned encampments, and Tau Volantis’s frozen terrain while fighting Necromorphs and other enemies. The journey also includes puzzles, optional side missions, and hazards such as ice climbs and avalanches.
Scavenge materials and weapon parts, then use them to build, combine, reconfigure, and upgrade weapons and survival tools. Searching locations and completing side missions can provide additional resources for your equipment.
Players who enjoy the game often praise the freedom to build customized weapons, the action-focused combat, and the chance to play the campaign with a friend. Some also appreciate its expanded Marker lore, space sequences, and icy environments. Opinions are divided: many reviewers feel the shift toward action weakens the horror, while others find the combat entertaining; weapon crafting is engaging for some but confusing or unbalanced for others. Launcher and co-op access problems also recur in the reviews.
