You take on the role of a computer builder, starting with a NAND gate and solving puzzles that introduce the pieces of a working computer. Challenges ask you to create logic gates and build up to more complex circuits.
As you progress, you combine your designs into arithmetic units, memory, and CPU-style components. Later challenges involve developing a processor and writing assembly programs for it, linking hardware design with computation.
A sandbox simulator lets you design your own computers and connect components such as screens, timers, sound, keyboard input, and network elements. You can also create an assembly language for your machine.
Many reviewers enjoy learning how computer hardware fits together by building it themselves, from simple logic circuits through CPU components and assembly programs. They often describe the step-by-step construction and solving as rewarding, while some say the difficulty rises sharply or the level explanations are unclear; others report bugs or problems with updates.
