Quantum Odyssey

From the Devs

This game's mission is to make quantum literacy as common as computer literacy

Understanding the fundamental logic that governs our Universe and learning how to harness it with quantum computers is one of the most powerful skills of the 21st century. It shouldn't belong to a select few.

Crave deep games that scratch the optimization itch?

This non-linear, story-driven open-ended puzzle universe runs on the actual laws of of quantum physics. This game respects your intelligence and its complexity ranges from fully guided tutorials designed for absolute beginners to brutal quantum-algorithm puzzles that takes days to solve and asynchronous PvP battles where anything can happen. Every mechanic, story beat, and puzzle trains real, in-demand skills used in Quantum Information Science.

Runs on a unique quantum simulator that turns multi-qubit math into intuitive visuals

Built by experts, NOT AI

This decade-long project is developed by the scientists behind the key papers that defined "Quantum Literacy." It is a research-backed game that teaches counterintuitive quantum thinking the way humans learn best: quietly in the background, while you’re immersed in an addictive, fully interactive sandbox. NO AI was used at any stage of its development or in the writing; we stand firmly against the use of generative AI in any creative work.

What to expect

• 100+ hours of content: 70+ modules, 500+ visual puzzles, 300+ pages of interactive encyclopedia

• Asynchronous PvP: hack other players creations, make content, climb zachlike leaderboards

• Full sandbox mode: build any classical or quantum system, import to visualize any algorithm

• Boolean logic: bits, classical operators, adders and how to port to quantum equivalents

• Turing-complete quantum logic: qubits, complex numbers, linear algebra, custom gates

• All phenomena: superposition, interference, entanglement, measurement effects, noise

• All techniques: phase kickback, amplitude amplification, phase-to-signal retrieval

• Famous Algorithms: Deutsch–Jozsa, Bernstein–Vazirani, Grover’s Search, QFT

Everything is learned from scratch, in full detail, through gameplay alone. This goes deeper than classes, textbooks, or exercises ever could because you are free to interact in any way you please with the quantum phenomena you learn.

Our Promise

Finish the game and you'll be able to separate quantum hype from reality, know where quantum computing excels at (and where it doesn't), read field papers with confidence, form your own informed views on the technology. Most importantly, you will be able to design and think up your own quantum algorithms for any problem you choose. The industry desperately needs people from diverse backgrounds to think of new solutions. This game equips you to be one of them.
