A documentary film crew accepts an invitation to the World’s Fair Hotel, a modern replica of H.H. Holmes’ Murder Castle. Once inside, they discover they are being watched and manipulated by a killer.
This third-person cinematic horror adventure combines exploration, character interactions, quick-time events, and consequential choices. Decisions can change how the story unfolds and whether each crew member survives.
Search the hotel for clues and useful objects, solve tool-based puzzles, and use characters’ individual items and abilities to get through obstacles. The cast can be played solo or in online co-op, while an offline pass-the-pad mode supports up to five players; the Curator’s Cut adds scenes from other characters’ perspectives after completing the story.
Players who enjoyed the game often highlight the murder-hotel premise, its tense atmosphere, and moments that made the killer’s traps feel threatening. Some also liked the branching outcomes and the added exploration, inventory, and movement mechanics. Other reviews repeatedly criticize technical problems, slow exploration, and weak or confusing story and character writing, so reactions to both the horror and the new mechanics vary considerably.
