From the Devs
Deadnaut: Signal Lost is a sci-fi horror turn-based roguelike where loyalty isn't earned - it's installed. As the Handler, you'll remotely control a single Deadnaut, a treasure hunter navigating hazardous settlements, drifting derelicts, and confronting nightmarish creatures, haywire security systems, and dangerous fanatics. But remember: your Deadnaut is not your friend. Either gain their trust or pay them off.
And if those don't work? There's always the failsafe on their puppeting software...
- 5 playable suits - Security, Energy, Tech, Sensor and Labour - with expansive upgrade trees
- Procedurally generated levels varying from small scouts and massive, multi-deck cryoships to secluded outposts and spread-out settlements
- Atmospheric soundtrack and dynamic ambience - listening will save your life
- Lightweight meta progression via collectible "Sigils" that impart powerful modifiers that change how you play
- Build trust between the Handler and Deadnaut, based on how well you do. Offer bribes if it gets low, or wipe their memory and puppet them instead
- Character creator where you can pick a suit, assign stats and import your own portraits
- Traditional roguelike (permadeath, exploration and replayability) with "on-the-run" progression in the spirit of FTL and Slay the Spire
The cosmos is tearing itself apart. Wrecks are full of horrible, interdimensional creatures, the dead roam surfaces of moons, and you’re being hunted by technically advanced soldiers. Experience the world of Deadnaut up close.
Keep your Deadnaut loyal or force compliance. Pay them off or turn them into a mindless space golem if necessary, but remember:
everything comes at a price.
Select from five exosuits, each with dozens of unique skills and abilities. Customise your Deadnaut with weapons, sensors, shields, cloaks and hack tools. Choose from the heavy-duty Labour suit, the ghostly Sensor suit, or the gravity-bending Energy suit, or other playstyles to match your preferences.
Encounter dozens of enemy types, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Avoid – or exploit – the security system in each level, from the Watchers that roam ships to the malfunctioning security Towers and Sentinels that guard settlements. Stay one step ahead of the Benefactors, advanced supersoldiers in relentless pursuit, determined to stop you from reaching the Rip's source.
Develop your Deadnaut and maximise their potential by discovering powerful synergies among 180+ upgrades, and tailor your weapons and gear to face the challenges that await you. Get started with a premade Deadnaut or create your own unique character. Adjust their stats and even import your own photo to truly make your Deadnaut your own.
