Islands & Trains

Islands & Trains is a creative sandbox for building miniature railway dioramas. You start with an island and shape it into a setting for your own train routes and scenery.

Sculpt the land into hills, valleys, and waterways, then lay tracks that loop across the island. Add bridges, buildings, farms, trees, rocks, and animals to create villages and landscapes around the railway.

Send trains along the routes you build and watch them travel through your creation. There are no missions or timers; play centers on experimenting with the building tools and developing each island at your own pace.

Reviewers often enjoy the relaxed, open-ended building, describing the game as a calming way to create miniature landscapes and watch trains travel through them. Its cute visual style and cozy atmosphere also draw praise. Some players, however, find object placement and controls unintuitive or restrictive, and report limitations in track options, train behavior, or the available building area.
