The unique cyberpunk-meets-fantasy world of Shadowrun has gained a huge cult following since its creation nearly 25 years ago. Now, creator Jordan Weisman returns to the world of Shadowrun, modernizing this classic game setting as a single player, turn-based tactical RPG.

In 2054, magic and advanced technology share a world with elves, trolls, orks, and dwarves. You play a shadowrunner, a mercenary drawn into investigating a friend's murder across Seattle, from its slums to corporate offices.
Follow leads through missions, conversations, and environmental clues, then face enemies in turn-based tactical combat. Position your team in cover, use weapons or magic, and bring runners with combat, technical, or magical abilities to each job.
Choose a starting archetype, then develop your character through a classless skill system that lets you specialize or combine abilities. Runners can also support you with tools such as drones, hacking, and summoned spirits.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its cyberpunk-and-fantasy setting, story and dialogue, and the atmosphere created by its art and music. Some also like its turn-based battles and flexible character builds. Criticism commonly focuses on the campaign's short, linear structure and combat that some players find repetitive or overly dependent on hit chances.
