You command a squad of Desert Rangers in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, investigating a fallen comrade's death and searching for missing Rangers. The journey takes your team through dangerous settlements and hostile territory. Create and customize four Rangers, assigning attributes, skills, weapons, and personality traits, with additional characters able to join the party. Skills can shape conversations and open different ways to handle obstacles, from picking a lock to forcing or blasting a door. Explore the wasteland, manage supplies, and fight enemies in turn-based battles where positioning and planning matter. Choices can affect people and settlements, while perks, quirks, and precision attacks add further options for building the squad and approaching combat.
