Developed by Ubisoft Montreal · Published by Ubisoft

Set in the Caribbean region of Saint-Domingue, the game follows Adewale, a former slave and trained Assassin who must find a ship and crew while working to free enslaved people.
Explore on foot and at sea, using stealth, parkour, firearms, and close-quarters weapons such as a machete. Sail into naval combat and visit settlements, plantations, and ships.
Free enslaved people through activities across the region to unlock equipment and character upgrades. Naval combat provides resources for improving your ship, while the smaller open world offers missions and other activities.
Players who enjoy the game often praise Adewale as a compelling lead and appreciate the serious focus on liberation, along with familiar pirate-era activities such as naval combat, exploration, and stealth. Some find the compact adventure engaging and focused, while others feel its short length, smaller map, and repeated liberation tasks limit the experience.
