You are an adventurer who sails with archaeologist Edward and his team to a deserted island, drawn there by light from a dragon fossil. Travel between the island as it was 1,000 years ago and its present-day state as you explore what happened to it.
The game’s 14 jobs, called Lives, cover combat, gathering, and crafting. Fight monsters, fish, mine, chop wood, cook, and make equipment; materials from one activity can support others. Switch jobs as you play and advance their ranks through quests and tasks to open up more activities and areas.
Restore the island by gathering materials, placing buildings and furniture, and changing its terrain with rivers and roads. Explore a large open area on foot, by swimming, climbing, or riding mounts, and venture into dungeons. Multiplayer supports groups of up to four, with a separate two-player local co-op option.

Collect ingredients or materials with Gathering Lives, create weapons or cook dishes with Crafting Lives, or fight monsters with Combat Lives. You can switch between any Life at any time, creating a life that's uniquely yours.
