Haru and Shion, coworkers whose friendship has become strained, wake up at the unsettling Saihate Station after falling asleep on the last train. They agree to work together to find a way home.
Explore the station, talk with the two men, solve simple puzzles, and get through chase scenes as the story reveals more about their situation. The dialogue-focused adventure pairs psychological horror with a cute, hand-drawn 2D style.
Choices affect Haru's dependency level and how the story unfolds, leading to multiple endings. The game keeps its puzzles and chase sequences simple, with immediate continuation available after a game over.
Players who praise the game often highlight its emotional, unsettling story and the way it presents Haru and Shion's complicated relationship. The artwork and atmosphere also draw frequent appreciation, with some players noting the music, suspense, puzzles, and different endings. Reactions to the story and character writing are mixed, and some reviewers object to the roles given to female characters.
"After falling asleep on the last train, I woke up in a bizarre place called Saihate Station..."
An exploration/horror/adventure game about the codependent, love-hate relationship between two men.
The main characters Haru Akinashi and Shion Tatsunami are both 26 years old and work in the same company.
Since Haru joined the company two months earlier, Shion calls him "Senpai."
They are complete opposites: Shion is cheerful and adept at everything, while Haru is a slow worker who lacks confidence.
Feeling inferior, and even a little envious, Haru starts to distance himself from Shion.
But a twist of fate brings both of them to Saihate Station, where they make a promise to work together and return home.
Their interactions are awkward at first, given the estrangement, but with each problem they overcome together, Haru recalls their former friendship, and their bond grows stronger than before.
Then, the whole truth of Saihate Station is revealed.
What will become of their feelings? And what are their destinations?

● Haru Akinashi
A self-effacing office worker who lacks confidence and social skills.
He processes things slowly and is often reprimanded by his manager.
Because he joined the company two months earlier, he's told to behave like a senior to Shion.
The two get along well, being the same age, but Haru starts to distance himself from Shion due to feelings of inferiority and even envy.

● Shion Tatsunami
An office worker at the same company as Haru, whom he calls "Senpai."
He appears to be talented, cheerful and kind, but the truth is...
