Play as Darwin, commander of an elite guinea-pig team, on a mission to stop a threat posed by an army of altered household appliances. His fly sidekick, Mooch, assists along the way.
Battle robotic appliances with weapons and high-tech gadgets, using different tools to attack or disable enemies. Darwin can also use abilities to move quickly, reach high places, and slow time; Saber technology can turn enemies into allies.
Progress through mission-based levels that mix shooting with platforming and environmental obstacles. Mooch's fly sections and vehicle sequences offer changes of pace, while collected resources and upgrades strengthen weapons and abilities.
Many reviewers enjoy revisiting a game they remember from childhood, while others praise its entertaining, straightforward action-platforming and mix of combat, weapons, and other activities. Some also call out its story, music, and accessible challenge. Criticism is less frequent in the supplied reviews, but includes repetitive combat or locations and complaints about PC display or controller options.
