We Love It's Guide to…

Quantum Break

You play as Jack Joyce, caught in the aftermath of an experiment that fractures time and gives him extraordinary abilities. As time begins to break down, he tries to stop Paul Serene, a former friend seeking control over the power, and prevent a wider catastrophe. The game combines third-person shooting with time-based abilities. Use powers to slow or freeze enemies and bullets, dash through danger, and create openings during fights. Between encounters, move through disrupted environments, solve traversal obstacles, and find documents and other records about the events. The campaign is divided into acts, with live-action episodes between them that show events from other characters’ perspectives. At key junctions, you make decisions as Serene that alter parts of the episodes and some in-game details. Collect chronon sources to upgrade Jack’s time abilities.

After an experiment fractures time, Jack Joyce uses temporal powers in third-person firefights while choices shape a live-action story.
