Take command of the Rebellion or Empire in campaigns set during a galactic civil war, or lead Tyber Zann’s criminal organization in the Forces of Corruption expansion. The Gold Pack includes the base game and expansion.
Manage forces across a galaxy map, direct armies, and conquer or liberate more than 80 ground and space locations. Each location offers a strategic advantage, and decisions shape the battles that follow.
Fight real-time battles in space and on planets with troops, vehicles, and starships. In space, fleets can target specific ship systems; the expansion adds underworld tactics such as piracy, kidnapping, racketeering, and bribery, along with new units and planets.
Supplied reviews often highlight the mix of galaxy-map strategy and real-time battles, especially space combat where players can target individual ship systems. Many also enjoy the Star Wars setting and the range of campaigns, while frequently praising the modding community for adding new eras, factions, and ways to play. Some reviewers find the original game dated or clunky, particularly its ground combat and unit movement.
