During the War of the Ring, a ranger, an elven scholar, and a dwarf take on a separate conflict in Middle-earth’s North. Their campaign crosses paths with familiar figures and follows their effort to stop the sorcerer Agandaur.
Fight enemies in real-time third-person combat using melee attacks, ranged weapons, and character abilities. Play alone with AI companions or team up with two other players, combining the heroes’ different strengths in battle.
Complete a linear campaign with side quests and areas to explore. Earn loot, equip weapons and armor, and develop each hero through skills and character progression.
Players who praise the game often enjoy its parallel Middle-earth story, its setting and lore, and the chance to explore regions beyond the familiar central journey.
