You play as Victor Vran, a demon hunter who arrives in the troubled city of Zagoravia as supernatural creatures overrun its streets and surrounding areas. Explore the city and its ruins while uncovering what has happened there.

Combat is viewed from above and emphasizes movement: dodge attacks, jump across hazards, and use weapons and special abilities against groups of monsters and bosses. Different weapons change your available attacks, so encounters call for positioning and timing as well as damage.

There are no fixed character classes. Shape Victor with weapons, outfits, demon powers, and Destiny Cards, and improve items as you collect loot. Areas also offer secrets and optional challenges; you can adjust difficulty with cursed Hex items and play the campaign solo or in co-op.
