You sit at an old computer logged into a police video database containing footage from seven 1994 interviews with a British woman whose husband has gone missing. The recordings are presented as scattered clips rather than complete interviews.
Type words spoken in the footage to find matching clips, then watch them for new names, phrases, and details to search. The results reveal the interviews out of sequence, so you must connect what the woman says and does to form a picture of the case.
There is no fixed route through the archive: follow whichever leads interest you, keep track of clips and clues, and decide when you have enough to make sense of the story. You can stop once you feel satisfied or continue searching for more of the available footage.
Players who enjoy Her Story often praise its unusual keyword-search format and the satisfaction of connecting scattered interview clips into a mystery, especially when new details prompt sudden realizations. The lead performance and retro computer presentation also stand out in positive reviews. Some players, however, find the searching repetitive as clues run thin and wish the experience had clearer goals or a more conclusive ending.
