Alice rallies friends across Gensokyo to reclaim books Marisa has borrowed. You make Shanghai dolls and turn them into dolls modeled on different characters, each with its own attacks and special abilities.
Deploy dolls to attack Marisa’s defenses and gather books scattered around the field. Some characters deal damage, others carry books back to the loot pile, and supporters improve the group’s efficiency; spend your resources on dolls and upgrades to build a stronger lineup.
Battle through successive stages against Marisa, balancing offense and book collection as you go. Points from progress can fund shared upgrades, and you can retreat to adjust your plan before another run. The game also unlocks a separate dungeon mode with direct, action-focused combat.
Players who enjoy the game often point to its cute pixel art and animations, its large cast of recognizable characters, and the fun of finding hidden characters and references. Some also enjoy planning how to allocate dolls and resources, or the separate action-focused mode. Common reservations include long, repetitive runs, a loop that needs more attention than some expect from an idle game, and upgrade costs and character balance that can make progress feel slow.
Gensoukyo is in an uproar!! That little girl with yellow hair and black-and-white clothes is out borrowing books everywhere again. Alice can no longer stand Marisa's "book-borrowing" behavior and has called on everyone in Gensoukyo to launch attack operation against Marisa!
To recapture the books that Marisa has taken away, we need to break through the gate of Marisa's house. The friends of Gensoukyo have gathered, but Marisa's house is heavily fortified, and we are short of hands. Start making Shanghai dolls at Alice's place and transform them into characteristic dolls of different characters. Each person's different doll has its own unique attack methods and special skills.
Be sure to arrange friends to collect the scattered books and bring them back to the loot pile to earn points. Only by getting as many points as possible can we upgrade the dolls and recruit more friends of Gensoukyo to join the battle.
Marisa won't just sit back and do nothing; she will do her best to stop us. Make good use of the resources at hand to combine a more efficient lineup to take back the books!
Unite Gensoukyo's friends----------------------------When you feel that the battle is facing strong resistance,don't fight head-on. Temporarily retreating and re-formulating the battle plan may help in the next battle.
Sometimes, the slow progress of the battle may also be due to improper resource allocation. In the new battle, you can try to allocate resources to more efficient characters.
