Improve Skills by Doing
You awake to discover yourself no longer in the company of good men or a fine seafaring vessel. Treasure... you remember something about treasure. Wayward is a challenging turn-based, top-down, wilderness survival roguelike. Explore, build, and most importantly survive in these unforgiving lands.
Developed by Unlok · Published by Unlok

You awaken stranded in a wilderness of procedurally generated islands, with resources to find and threats to manage. Surviving means paying attention to needs such as hunger, thirst, injuries, and changing temperatures.
Explore different biomes, gather materials, craft tools and supplies, build a base, and face or tame creatures. Turn-based movement gives you time to plan each action, while the world’s objects and crafting systems invite experimentation.
There are no character classes or levels: skills and stats improve through interactions and repeated activities. Choose modes with optional permadeath or respawning, and play alone or online with optional PvP.
Players who enjoy Wayward often praise its deep crafting and open-ended survival, with exploration and gradual learning offering plenty to discover. Some also highlight its atmospheric music and multiplayer. Reviews also describe a steep learning curve and a busy interface; other concerns include navigation, item management, controller accessibility, and the pace or scope of continued development.
