2d space combat like no other. From the perspective of a single crew member, explore the fully destructible interior of any ship in a massive living world. Engage in space combat with no hitpoints where you know your enemy is dead when you see them fall out of their ship into the cold dark of space.

You play as a nameless clone created by an artificial intelligence in a large star system. You can follow its orders or pursue your own course while moving between ships and stations, including venturing into space in an EVA suit.
Combat takes place both between ships and inside them. As a crew member, you can board vessels and fight their crews; in ship battles, damage can destroy modules and threaten your crew, affecting systems such as life support, sensors, and engines.
The sandbox includes factions, NPC trade ships carrying cargo, and increasingly dangerous areas to explore. You can salvage or steal ships for resources and manufacturing knowledge, gather materials, and design custom vessels by arranging their components and interiors.
Players who express enjoyment often highlight the unusual ship-design system, where layouts and power need to be planned, along with destructible ship combat and the freedom to explore and build. These positives are frequently qualified by reviewers who describe the game as unfinished or buggy, and enjoyment of its concepts does not necessarily extend to its current execution.
