Chaser wakes aboard the spacecraft H.M.S. Majestic with no memory and armed pursuers on his trail. Playing as Chaser, you follow clues about his identity through a conflict tied to MARSCORP, a powerful organization whose control over Mars has grown.
The campaign is a first-person shooter built around firefights with a broad selection of weapons. Missions also include stealth sections where you must avoid detection and gunfire, plus a slow-motion ability for combat.
The journey moves from the spacecraft to locations on Earth, including Siberia, and eventually to Mars. Along the way, missions shift between different environments and set pieces, including underwater sections.
Players who enjoy Chaser often praise its soundtrack, varied weapons and settings, and the atmosphere of its sci-fi campaign. Some also find the gunplay satisfying or the story intriguing, with nostalgia adding to the appeal for returning players. Reactions are mixed, and many reviews criticize the confusing routes and drawn-out levels.
