In 2036, Artyom leaves the Moscow Metro with a band of Spartan Rangers aboard the Aurora, a modified steam locomotive, to seek a new life in the East. Their journey crosses post-apocalyptic Russia over the course of a year.
Travel between large, explorable regions and more linear missions, encountering human factions and mutated creatures. Search abandoned places for supplies and information, then choose whether to face threats with firearms or use stealth.
