STEINS;GATE follows Rintaro Okabe, a tech-savvy student who runs a small laboratory with his friends. Their experiments with a modified microwave reveal a way to send messages into the past, drawing the group into a mystery involving time travel and SERN.
The game is a text-driven visual novel, with most interaction happening through Okabe’s cellphone. You decide whether to answer calls, read or reply to messages, and make other phone choices that can affect how events unfold.
