Marvel and Capcom's worlds have merged under the threat of Ultron Sigma, who seeks to eradicate biological life. Play as teams of heroes and villains from both universes as they fight to survive and confront the threat.
Combat uses two-character teams. Switch fighters during battles and combos to extend attacks or change your approach, and choose one of six Infinity Stones to add its own abilities and battle-changing effects.
Single-player options include a cinematic story campaign, Arcade, Training, and Mission modes. Versus play supports local and online matches, with ranked and casual options, lobbies, leaderboards, and spectator mode.
Players who enjoy the game often praise its fluid, satisfying combat, creative tag combos, and the way Infinity Stones can shift a fight. Some also like the cinematic campaign and playing locally with friends or family. A number of positive reviews specifically credit a community graphics and balance mod, while other players criticize the presentation, roster, story, and scarcity of online matches.
