White Noise 2 is an asymmetric horror game for five players: four take the roles of investigators, while one controls a creature hunting them. Investigators must find eight tapes before the creature can stop them.
As an investigator, explore with your team, manage flashlight batteries and sanity, and use your light to stun the creature. As the creature, stalk investigators, use powers to avoid light, and summon totems that warn you when they are nearby.
Players who die can return as ghosts, using enhanced exploration skills to help the remaining investigators. Playing unlocks characters and flashlights with different specializations, offering varied approaches to stealth, speed, and exploration.
