"So, I made a game, right? I filled it with harmless funny puzzles, narrated it a little bit, and then players started making fun of it! They broke the game, ignored my rules! They... they... laughed at me! As if it was some kind of a joke! Why do they have to be so mean?!" - developer of Dude, Stop

You take part in a narrator’s test of simple tasks, from arranging objects to following directions. The catch is that the game encourages you to ignore the rules and frustrate the person guiding you.
Work through short point-and-click puzzles by clicking, dragging, and throwing objects. You can try the expected solution or deliberately do the wrong thing, prompting voiced commentary on your choices.
The puzzles are grouped into packs, with rewards and achievements for different actions. Progress calls for a mix of rule-following and mischief, and some achievements encourage revisiting puzzles to find other outcomes.
Many reviewers enjoy deliberately disrupting the puzzles and hearing the narrator react, and often praise the humor, voice performance, and playful fourth-wall jokes. Some also like discovering different puzzle outcomes and completing achievements. Others find the jokes or narration grating, and describe the game as short or repetitive, especially when replaying puzzles.
