You play as Jackie Estacado, a New York crime-family boss who carries an ancient supernatural force called the Darkness. After a sudden attack by the Brotherhood, Jackie’s powers return as he sets out to face the threat while contending with memories of his lost girlfriend.
Combat combines first-person gunplay with two demonic arms: grab and strike enemies, hurl foes or nearby objects, and fire weapons at the same time. The Darkness works in shadows, so light can suppress your powers and shape how you approach a fight.

It’s been two years since Jackie Estacado used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend’s murder.
