You play as Aki, a student trapped with classmates in a school transformed into an otherworldly nightmare. With Misao, a classmate who disappeared months earlier, at the center of the curse, you explore the school to uncover what happened and find a way through the supernatural events.
Search classrooms and corridors for clues and useful items, solve puzzles, and avoid hostile spirits and traps. A wrong move can lead to a sudden death, while quick saves let you preserve progress as you investigate. Crimson Eyes can highlight places you have already searched.
The game has a main story followed by a Truth section that explores more of the characters’ stories. You can choose to play Aki as a boy or a girl; some dialogue and scenes differ. The remaster updates the graphics, interface, and presentation for HD resolutions.
