In the final chapter of Lara Croft’s origin story, she must confront the consequences of an ancient artifact and race to prevent a Maya apocalypse. Her pursuit of Trinity takes her through dangerous jungles and toward a hidden city.
Explore dense forests, underwater passages, ruins, and settlements; climb, swing, and dive to reach new areas. Search for artifacts and supplies, solve environmental puzzles, and tackle elaborate tombs with multi-stage challenges.
When enemies stand in the way, Lara can use cover, vegetation, and mud camouflage to sneak past or take them down. Gather resources, craft supplies, and develop skills and equipment as you progress. The Definitive Edition includes the base game, seven DLC challenge tombs, and downloadable weapons, outfits, and skills.
Players who enjoy the game often highlight its elaborate tombs, puzzles, and exploration, along with the atmosphere of its jungle environments. Stealth and the use of the surroundings also appeal to some players. Reviews are divided on the story and pacing, and a recurring criticism is that combat is sparse or less satisfying than in earlier games; some players also report bugs that interrupt puzzles or progress.
