In an alternate, war-torn Europe, Commander Claude Wallace leads Squad E of the Federation alongside childhood friends and fellow soldiers. The campaign follows their push against the Empire, with the story unfolding between battles.
Combat shifts between an overhead tactical map and direct third-person control of individual units. Spend command points to deploy soldiers, move and attack across the battlefield, use cover, and capture camps; enemies can fire on units moving through their lines of sight. Infantry classes, tanks, and battleship support offer different ways to approach missions.
Develop classes, weapons, and the squad’s tank as the campaign advances. Character-focused Squad Stories add missions about squadmates, while the Complete Edition includes the main game and bonus DLC content such as extra missions and skirmishes.
