In a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles at war with Skynet, you play Jacob Rivers, a Resistance soldier caught up in the human fight against the machines.
Move through mission areas that mix enclosed routes with room to explore. Search ruined buildings for supplies, take on side objectives, and choose whether to sneak past machines, hack defenses, or engage them directly.
Earn skill upgrades, modify weapons, and craft useful items from scavenged materials. Conversations and decisions with other survivors can affect their fates and the campaign’s ending.
In the supplied reviews, players repeatedly praise the desolate Future War atmosphere, the recognizable film-inspired details, and the music and sound design. Many also enjoy the tension of facing powerful Terminators early on and the story’s character choices. Some reviewers find the shooting and mission loop basic or repetitive, and mention rough animations or enemy behavior.
